Description
Summary:The title work is based on developing a business plan to measure the feasibility of creating a company dedicated solely to the production and export of artisanal tropical fruit ice cream in the city of Latacunga - Ecuador, this business idea is born from a tradition Cotopaxense, which is known to the world a 100% natural, healthy and high food content. Ecuador being a producer country, is the ideal place for fruit lovers, in this sense is understood the infinity of varieties of fruits, each one with an indescribable flavor, is the most important world supplier of fruit concentrate, its unique and aromatic flavor has made the fruit the most famous in the world market. The tropical climate allows the fruit to be harvested throughout the year on a permanent basis (Ecuador.com, 2020). That is why the company of elaboration of artisan ice cream of tropical fruits will be created in Latacunga and will help the local development, creating new sources of employment and collaterally helping the economy. However, the lack of knowledge of the Ecuadorian artisanal ice cream and the empirical way in which the business is conducted testifies to the lack of knowledge of the market expansion, within this order of ideas it is clear that producers do not show interest in international markets for export, the low price at which it is marketed has caused that manufacturers do not invest in technology to generate a product suitable for international marketing, the same that is linked to the development of the following specific objectives such as analyzing the consumer market for ice cream in different places. Based on the research carried out by the Association of Artisan Ice Cream Manufacturers and Related Industries (AFADHYA), Buenos Aires was chosen as the target market since Argentina is considered a seasonal country and therefore the production of tropical fruits is non existent, therefore, it is considered a focal population for the export of artisan ice cream based on natural tropical fruits, in addition, the organizational structure was defined, for the correct operation of the company and an analysis of the internal and external aspects was carried out, where the key points to enter a totally different market were made known based on Philip Kotler's 4 P's model and a micro and macro environment analysis (PEST), and the ideal distribution channels were established for the commercialization of artisanal tropical fruit ice cream. Finally, the financial analysis shows the viability of the implementation of the business projected for five years, in which the income, production costs and respective xii financial indicators are detailed. In relation to the previous idea, the project is attractive since it generates a Net Present Value of (USD 15,972,922.24), due to the high consumption of the product.
