Also, the survey was used as an instrument by applying two questionnaires that were validated and applied to the members of the associations. In addition, with the research database, an improvement plan was proposed with the aim of strengthening social capital. It is important to emphasize that the results were favorable, since the most outstanding issues were determined, especially in the level of participation and this helped to be taken into account for the training program. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a good associative performance and meet the objectives of the associations. Likewise, it allows the feedback of knowledge through a specialized talk, which is characterized by solving questions and concerns. This contributes to an improvement in understanding and a positive enrichment for the construction of social capital. |

This contributes to an improvement in understanding and a positive enrichment for the construction of social capital.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo el análisis del capital social como factor de éxito en las asociaciones del sector agropecuario de la ciudad de Latacunga, para lo cual se aplicó dos instrumentos. Se incorporó variables sociodemográficas y los elementos que inciden en el capital social para llegar al análisis. Esta investigación se basa en una metodología de enfoque cuantitativo, es decir, una modalidad de campo de tipo correlacional utilizada para la recolección de datos. También, se utilizó como instrumento la encuesta mediante la aplicación de dos cuestionarios que fueron validados y aplicados a los miembros de las asociaciones. Además, con la base de datos de la investigación, se propuso un plan de mejora con el objetivo de fortalecer el capital social. Es importante recalcar que los resultados fueron favorables, ya que se determinaron los temas más destacados, especialmente en el nivel de participación y esto ayudó a que sean tomados en cuenta para el programa de capacitación. Por lo que, se logra obtener un buen desempeño asociativo y cumplir con los objetivos de las asociaciones. Asimismo, permite la retroalimentación del conocimiento mediante una charla especializada, la cual se caracteriza por resolver preguntas e inquietudes.
