There is presence of IBR in the province of Cotopaxi since, of the 396 sampled bovines, 161 positive cases were obtained distributed as follows: the highest prevalence was found in Pangua canton with 72.2% followed by La Maná with 58.3 %, Sigchos represents 56.2%, while Salcedo canton has 38.3%, Latacunga with 31.6%, and the lowest prevalence is found in Pujilí and Saquisilí cantons with 30.5%. The risk factors that got a relationship with the prevalence of the disease were age with 0.02133 and race with 0.0003793 due to its p value is less than 0.05. The epidemiological map displays the canton with the highest percentage of prevalence and the number of positive cases per town. |

Se ejecutó un estudio estadístico para el análisis del comportamiento, mediante la recolección de muestras sanguíneas a 396 bovinos, divididos en 12 por cada parroquia, la información brindada por los propietarios se hizo por medio de una entrevista, para efectuar un análisis de variables que se relacionen con la enfermedad. Existe presencia de IBR en la provincia de Cotopaxi ya que, de los 396 bovinos muestreados, se obtuvo 161 casos positivos distribuidos de la siguiente manera, mayor prevalencia se encontró en el cantón Pangua con 72,2% seguido de La Maná con 58,3%, Sigchos representa el 56,2%, mientras que el cantón Salcedo tiene 38,3%, Latacunga con 31,6%, y la menor prevalencia se encuentra en el cantón Pujilí y Saquisilí con 30,5%. Los factores de riesgos que presentaron relación en cuanto a la prevalencia de la enfermedad fueron la edad con 0,02133 y la raza 0,0003793 porque su valor p es menor a 0,05.
