| Итог: | The use of forest ecosystems and conservation of moors as carbon reservoirs is increasingly accepted. However, in Ecuador there isn’t enough information about this type of study. The objective this work was to determine the carbon sequestration capacity of forest restoration projects and conservation of moorland executed by GADPC in 2016. First the methodology for quantifying carbon was used direct or destructive method which consisted of pulling up the plants, weigh them fresh with a digital scale and dried in an oven at 75 °C for 72 hours establishing the amount of biomass through the relationship between dry weight / wet weight, then converting biomass carbon values multiplied by the constant 0.5 and finally to determine the amount of carbon dioxide set is multiplied by the conversion factor 3.67. |
