| Gaia: | This research project starts from dysgraphia as a learning disorder, which occurs within the school environment, and few teachers are able to identify students with writing difficulties. This research aims to identify the incidence of dysgraphia in the teaching-learning process to improve writing processes in children in the second year of general basic education of the "Felix Valencia" Educational Unit, Latacunga canton, Cotopaxi province, during the school year 2022-2023. The methodology used has a qualitative approach, the method applied was inductive, at the same time the type of research is descriptive and field, because it studies social and pedagogical phenomena in their natural environment. The applied techniques are observation and interview, the instruments used were the observation guide and the interview guide, which allowed collecting information from teachers and students about the dysgraphia disorder. Regarding the results obtained, it was determined that dysgraphia is a determining factor in the teaching-learning process, since, when directly observing all second-grade children within their learning environment, it was evidenced that 5 children present signs of this disorder, because they have difficulty in representing spelling in terms of size, shape, regularity and space. Thus, this disorder significantly affects the learning pace of the students, and consequently their school performance. In conclusion, this project is relevant because it allows teachers to be aware of the dysgraphia disorder, since they are responsible for identifying this learning difficulty in time.
