Tóm tắt:This research is about "Development and implementation of a guide of methodological strategies to develop the critical thinking in the area of social studies in children of the fifth year of basic education at "Juan Manuel Lasso" Elementary School which seeks to encourage reflection, analysis, and judgment in this important area of the curriculum and also provides an educational tool for teachers. This project was carried out through an investigation within the school, using as techniques, the interview and survey, which identified the same problems raised in the educational process and concluded that at the school were not used properly the Methodological Strategies to develop critical thinking of students in the area of social studies. Aware of this problem, we thought the need to implement the proposal andit gave successful results, contributing to improving the quality of education of children at this school, especially the fifth year of basic education. To carry out this survey we had the collaboration of teachers, parents, students, thesis advisor, who made possible the development and the successful conclusion of this research.
