| description | The research project analyzes the logical-mathematical thinking development in Initial Sublevel 2 children at Gabriela Mistral Educational Unit. The methodology is qualitative, descriptive exploratory type in such a way that the project straight out to be viable and applicable. The techniques applied were the interview to the teacher and pedagogical assistant and the observation with the observation sheet instrument to the Initial 2 children in their classroom. According to the global results obtained, 44% of children have acquired mathematical relationships according to the Initial Level 2. In the same way, 53% of the group that is in the process of reaching the level will continue; and 3% who have not reached the required level. This is in agreement with the skills planned in the learning results dictated by the Curriculum established with the Education Ministry which suggests the application of new strategies in the classroom in order to promote the mathematical logical thinking development. The results found is the support to improve the teaching-learning process in which ICTs can occupy a significant place for all children’ care according to their needs and particularities. |

The results found is the support to improve the teaching-learning process in which ICTs can occupy a significant place for all children’ care according to their needs and particularities.El presente proyecto de investigación analiza el desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático en los niños del subnivel 2 de Educación Inicial de la Unidad Educativa “Gabriela Mistral”, el objetivo de la investigación es realizar un diagnóstico a fin de determinar el nivel de desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático. La metodología es de carácter cualitativa, de tipo exploratoria descriptiva de tal forma que el proyecto resultó ser viable y aplicable. Las técnicas empleadas son la entrevista cuyo instrumento la guía de preguntas se aplicó a la docente y auxiliar pedagógica, la técnica de la observación con el instrumento ficha de observación la cual fue aplicada a los niños del aula de clase de Inicial 2. De acuerdo a los resultados globales obtenidos un 44% de niños tienen adquirido las relaciones lógica matemáticas de acuerdo al nivel de inicial 2; de la misma manera se determinó un 53% del grupo que se encuentra en proceso de alcanzar el nivel; y un 3% que no han alcanzado el nivel requerido; esto de acuerdo a las destrezas contempladas en los resultados de aprendizaje dictados por el Currículo establecido por el Ministerio de Educación lo cual sugiere el uso de nuevas estrategias en el aula de clase y de esa forma potenciar el desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático.
