Determinación de los contaminantes producto de la combustión por fuentes móviles a gasolina en el Cantón Salcedo Empresa Pública de Movilidad de la Mancomunidad de Cotopaxi, Provincia de Cotopaxi período 2017

The purpose of this research is to provide technical data on the current pollution of Salcedo Canton, for political decision making aimed at improving environmental quality. In the Public Mobility Company of the Commonwealth of Cotopaxi, the measurement of the atmospheric pollutant emissions of Salcedo Canton automotive park was carried out to identify the atmospheric pollutants emitted by them which will be useful for the regulating entities and verify compliance with current regulations. 377 vehicles were sampled to do the study in Salcedo Canton, monitoring the gases carbon monoxide (CO) and unburned hydrocarbons (HC), with the AVLDiTEST GAS 1000 equipment, complying with the monitoring standards proposed in the environmental legislation. As a result, the values were compared with the Ecuadorian Technical Standard NTEINEN 2204, they show contamination by unburned hydrocarbons (HC) in mobile petrol sources since 41.64% of vehicles do not comply with the aforementioned regulations, and the Carbon monoxide (CO), registers 89.92% that is within the permissible limits.
