Evaluación del efecto de la aplicación del alcaloide de chocho para el control del barrenador del ápice (Anthomyiidae) en el cultivo de chocho (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet) INIAP 450 Andino, Anchiliví, Salcedo, Cotopaxi 2020-2021.

This research was conducted in the Anchiliví neighborhood, Canton Salcedo, Province of Cotopaxi, to evaluate the chocho alkaloid application's effect to control the apex borer (Anthomyiidae) in the chocho crop (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet) INIAP 450 Andino, in different treatments with their respective concentrations. The insect collection was carried out in a chocho crop infested by the apex borer in the adult stage. A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was implemented with seven treatments and three replicates, giving twenty-one experimental units with a total area of 748.8 m2. Seven cages were placed in each repetition. Statistical analyses of the data were carried out using Infostat (IS) statistical software; for the effect of the variable "mortality" of the apex borer, the analysis of variance (ADEVA) was performed. The results established in treatment 6 (Decís) showed the highest number of mortality with 83%, followed by treatment 1 (5gr of chocho powder in 60 ml of water) with a mortality of 80%, as it was evidenced that similar results were found in which it is proposed that treatment 1 is a natural control alternative. In the treatments it was observed the effect of 112 flies affected in the alteration in the color of the eyes changing from red to black, 92 flies affected in the halteres or rockers that affected the stability and direction during the flight of the apex borer and finally 68 affected flies showed a significant reduction of the abdominal part. The chocho alkaloid is efficient for the control of pests that affect the chocho crop, in which it does not cause damage to the crop, but on the contrary increases the production of the small and medium farmer.
