Shrnutí:The objective of the project was to establish sectors with better soil and weather conditions in the area under study, considering different variables such as soil texture, slopes, drainage, precipitation, temperature, pH, MO and N, P, K, for the production of corn, potato and chocolate crops, using a geographical model in the parish of San Miguel de Salcedo, for the analysis of variables and results was used the program ARC GIS version 10.3.We started from the collection of 43 soil samples in San Miguel, which were interpolated with 153 data provided by the Ecuadorian Space Institute (IEE), with the purpose of determining the best areas with edaphoclimatic aptitudes supported in the bibliographic documentation. The method is based on remote sensing with the application of the structured language query technique (SQL). From the analysis of the study it is determined that of the 100% of the surface San Miguel de Salcedo parish the 16% lends the conditions for the culture of corn that are located in the low zone of the parish, while the 0,08% for culture of potato, evidencing that the areas with better edafoclimatic conditions for these cultures are in the high zone where Reserva Ecologica los Llanganates is located and properties with restrictions for studying in a big extension, remaining the low zones with unfavorable conditions. For future researching, it is recommended to obtain in situ data with the help of meteorological stations and soil analysis, for the generation of climatic and edaphic data with more precision.
