Caracterización de los participantes activos de la feria de la mata a la olla de la parroquia Ignacio Flores del cantón Latacunga, provincia de Cotopaxi 2022.

This research work was conducted in the parish of Ignacio Flores, located in the canton of Latacunga, province of Cotopaxi, with emphasis on agricultural, social, productive and environmental characterization. The market where the project was developed has been affected mainly by the scarce knowledge in production and sale of agricultural products, where the state of the private and local institutions has been little positive in the training of the different members belonging to the fair, both at present and at the beginning of the pandemic where the main objective was to characterize the active members, for which a survey was used established in social, economic, environmental and productive indicators through the application of the methodology of rapid participatory diagnosis (PRA), obtaining the following results: in the social characterization it was found that there is an adult population, mostly women and of mestizo self-identification on the other hand, regarding the environmental characterization most of the active members perform soil conservation and sustainable agriculture, regarding the economic and productive characterization information was collected where the main source of income is the sale of agricultural inputs where they focus and generate activities. In addition, the productive characterization showed that most of the members of the fair do not have an established production margin for sale and live in different areas, of which only sell their products at the fair of the monte a la olla in the parish of Ignacio Flores, which is an urban area. The active members of the fair have agricultural production areas where they cultivate and raise animals for sale, where they are dedicated to the main production of vegetables, grains and tubers, but in a smaller percentage, according to the established census. Through the determination of the characteristics, several elements that condition the needs of the active members of the fair will be located and thus be able to take management of the problems encountered, through the establishment of programs or projects that change this situation.
