| Summary: | The present research work is aimed at developing an urban solid waste management system for the Saquisilí and Pujilí Cantons that allowed in the first instance the analysis of the current state of their management, under the focus of the environmental problems that trigger problems. social, cultural, economic, this in order to develop a proposal based on field visits that allowed to optimize and enhance the management of solid waste management. The methodology used for the construction process of this work was focused on qualitative, field, descriptive and bibliographic research, through which the proposed objectives were achieved, such as the analysis of the current state of the service collection and coverage system, the characterization of the types. of waste that is generated and finally the development of the concatenated proposal to improve waste management. The results at the end of the interview and the documentary review where the type of waste that is most produced was determined: organic waste, plastic, paper; in both cantons, it was also possible to establish the per capita production of both urban centers, giving as results that in the Saquisilí canton 0.68 kilograms/inhabitant/day are produced and in the Pujilí canton 0.54 kilograms/inhabitant/day are produced, under these effects the proposal for a Comprehensive Solid Waste Management system is directed to the administrative and operational staff of the two cantons as well as for the joint public company that is currently administering the final disposition consists of 4 lines of action, each of these with its program and activities. At the end of the investigation, it can be determined that It will be a tool that will allow the creation of new alternatives for the use of organic waste, thus enhancing the management and final disposal of waste, thus improving the lives of the residents of the cantons under study. |
