The methodology used for the construction process of this work was focused on qualitative, field, descriptive and bibliographic research, through which the proposed objectives were achieved, such as the analysis of the current state of the service collection and coverage system, the characterization of the types. of waste that is generated and finally the development of the concatenated proposal to improve waste management. The results at the end of the interview and the documentary review where the type of waste that is most produced was determined: organic waste, plastic, paper; in both cantons, it was also possible to establish the per capita production of both urban centers, giving as results that in the Saquisilí canton 0.68 kilograms/inhabitant/day are produced and in the Pujilí canton 0.54 kilograms/inhabitant/day are produced, under these effects the proposal for a Comprehensive Solid Waste Management system is directed to the administrative and operational staff of the two cantons as well as for the joint public company that is currently administering the final disposition consists of 4 lines of action, each of these with its program and activities. At the end of the investigation, it can be determined that It will be a tool that will allow the creation of new alternatives for the use of organic waste, thus enhancing the management and final disposal of waste, thus improving the lives of the residents of the cantons under study. |

At the end of the investigation, it can be determined that It will be a tool that will allow the creation of new alternatives for the use of organic waste, thus enhancing the management and final disposal of waste, thus improving the lives of the residents of the cantons under study.El presente trabajo de investigación se encuentra encaminado a desarrollar un sistema de gestión de desechos sólidos urbanos para los Cantones Saquisilí y Pujilí que permitió en primera instancia el análisis del estado actual del manejo de los mismos esto bajo el enfoque de la problemática ambiental que desencadena problemas sociales, culturales ,económicos esto con el fin de elaborar una propuesta basada en visitas de campo que concedieron optimizar y potencializar la gestión de manejo de residuos sólidos. La metodología empleada para el proceso de construcción de este trabajo estuvo centrada en la investigación cualitativa, de campo, descriptiva y bibliografía mediante ellas se logró los objetivos propuestos como el análisis del estado actual del sistema de recolección y cobertura de servicios la caracterización de los tipos de residuos que se generan y finalmente el desarrollo de la propuesta concatenada a mejorar el manejo de los residuos.
