| Summary: | In Los Laureles sector of La Maná canton, Cotopaxi province where were established 112 cocoa plants of the CNN-51 variety were to study the agronomic response of the cocoa crop (Theobroma cacao) to the application of organic and chemical fertilizers". The experimental units consisted of 4 plants, 28 plants per treatment, and the following treatments were applied: T1B (900 g/plant), T2C (500 g/plant), T3Q (250 g/plant), and T4T (no application). The experimental methodology was the Completely Randomized Block Design with four treatments and seven replications to fulfill the proposed objectives. The following variables took into account: the number of cobs per plant, cob diameter (cm), cob length (cm), cob weight (g), wet weight of grains per fruit (g), the weight of 100 kernels per treatment (g), dry weight of the kernels (g), and cost-benefit analysis, these data took at 120, 135,150,165,180,195,2010 and 225 days after the application of the fertilizers, keeping a registry in the field book that according to the results, the T3Q (NPK) at 225 days determined the following most relevant measures for the number of cobs 6.56 cobs, the weight of cob 1187 gr, fresh weight of almond per cob 310 gr, the weight of 100 almonds per treatment 166.9 g and dry weight of 100 almonds 166.9 gr. In T2C (compost), the most relevant measure was an ear of cob diameter of 35.93 cm, T1B (bioabor), the most related measurement was an ear of cob length of 29.74 cm. |
