| الملخص: | The faculty of agricultural sciences and natural resources of the Technical University of Cotopaxi, the career of Agronomy has designed the project of urban agricultural production in order to encourage the inhabitants to grow their food, for that is taking into account the management of the creation of urban horticultural gardens in a sustainable manner, in preparation for increase production and allow an extra income to different families and markets. This case study was conducted in the parish of San Miguel, Salcedo canton, Province of Cotopaxi, at the coordinates 1°.04'360.2''S, 78°59'073.7''W from 2,480 to 3,513 oversea. To determine the total area for the future establishment of urban vegetable gardens. The study area's respective survey was carried out using the Shapefile downloaded from the INEC website and the ArcGis program to identify the unproductive area of San Miguel's parish (231.33 ha) for future implementation of urban vegetable gardens. The proposal was established with vegetable crops, planting densities in a range of (25 to 30 cm between rows and 10 to 30 cm between plants). Phytosanitary control is carried out with bioinsecticides and organic biofungicides. Through bibliographic research, information was collected about different types of organic fertilizers, preferably: organic manure gallinaza, organic manure Ecoabonaza, and Bokashi. As a suggestion, Bokashi organic fertilizer was applied because of its amount of organic matter (70%). Through bibliographic research, information was also collected about different models of vegetable gardens for future implementations according to the available areas that exist as a reference (28 square meters) in the place they live in the parish of San Miguel. |
