Evaluación de un shampoo ozonificado (10,20,30 mg) en perros con dermatopatias fúngicas en el Centro de Esterilización y Hogar de Paso para Animales “Belisario Quevedo” en la ciudad de Latacunga provincia de Cotopaxi.

The research suggested the evaluation of an ozonated shampoo in presentations of 10, 20 and 30 mg in dogs with fungal dermatopathies developed in the "Belisario Quevedo" Sterilization Center and animal Shelter in the city of Latacunga, province of Cotopaxi, with the main purpose of analyzing the product starting from the determination of the ozonated shampoo protocol as a treatment in dogs affected with skin diseases caused by fungi through theoretical bases with characterization of fungal dermatopathies of the canines in the area of direct influence with identification and CFU counting, establishing their type and degree of affection; Through a statistical analysis, its efficiency in the use of baths with established doses was established. This study presents a quantitative orientation in its documentary-type methodology in experimental design with a unit of the same nature in which 20 dogs were subjected to study; from which information data was obtained from the process of making the shampoo through the characterization of mycotic affection with 3 canines of serious affection in 75%, in addition, a notable difference is shown in the effectiveness of the use of the shampoo at the beginning with the CFU of 4.55±0.8 versus 7.25±0.74 in the treatment; With the investigation it was determined that the dosage of the treatment is imperative according to the severity of the conditions presented in the canines to avoid intoxication in the application process, identifying age, sex and race.
