| Summary: | The objective of this researching was to analyze, from a semiotic perspective, the indigenous weddings of the parish of Guangaje, taking as reference the ancient celebrations of indigenous marriage. Information collected based on the discussion group and observation, the factors that affect the change of ancestral traditions: rituals, characters, objects, actions and the word. This topic has not studied in the field of communication. The methodological strategy used in this project was qualitative, using the discussion group technique: couples of ancestral and non-ancestral couples from the Guangaje Parish participated in this group, who expanded our knowledge about the traditions that existed before and the new ones they are forming in the commune. According to the results, is the loss of traditions and customs in the indigenous marriage, to understand that the cause is migration, adaptation of new cultures and the high cost of this event in the community, as the main conclusions, we prioritize the rescue of ancestral wealth and traditions through talks about the heritage of our indigenous people. For this community it is important to rescue what their ancestors were doing and to continue transmitting them for generations, since they want their children to continue marrying under the ancestral ceremony. Now to know this parish, we consider is necessary to carry out an investigation to the meaning the ancestral indigenous wedding has, to make known what has been the decadence with their generations. The elderly people wish that the traditional festivals were carried out as they are formerly with band of people, food typical of the sector and the right clothing for both men and women, to save their culture. |
