Description
Summary:The development of oral language in early childhood allows the child to communicate their needs and interests. In Ecuador educational institutions do not take importance to the development of oral language at an early age, the problems facing education is the lack of oral expression. For many years, written language has been the center of attention and maximum concern among teachers, so oral language was not considered an object of instruction. However, in the "María Montessori" Initial Education Center, poor language development has been identified in initial education children, since most of the time they are alone, which has caused the development of oral language to be limited, It is worth mentioning that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, initial education has been developed in virtual mode, which has limited social interaction. For this reason, a guide of alternative didactic strategies for language development is proposed, whose purpose is to contribute to the development of oral language in children from 3 to 5 years of age through the application of language components such as phonological, semantic and pragmatic. through playful activities. By applying the didactic strategies guide, the children of the "María Montessori" Initial Education Center contributed to the increase of vocabulary, participation in conversations with greater structure, memory and imagination. On the other hand, the teachers consider that this tool was essential for the development of oral language in infants.
