| Riassunto: | This research was carried out in the San Francisco de Chipe sector, La Maná canton, with the aim of carrying out the agronomic and hydraulic design for the implementation of a sprinkler irrigation system in the cocoa crop (Theobroma cacao L.) of variety CCN51. It began with a topographic survey, soil analysis to determine parameters for irrigation purposes and the analysis of historical meteorological data of monthly mean temperature, relative humidity and precipitation recorded by the INAMHI M0124 San Juan station, the total irrigation area corresponds to 1.28 Ha; the potential evapotranspiration (ETP) determined by the Hargreaves method is 2.99 mm / day; culture evapotranspiration (ETc) is 3.14 mm / day; the water demand is from the month of July to November where the month with the highest demand was registered (September), an irrigation frequency of 5 days was determined, with an irrigation time of 2 hours to satisfy a total sheet of 12.58 mm , with a volume of water of 161.05 m3; the selected sprinkler operates with a flow rate of 0.21 l / s; the irrigation day is 8 hours and the irrigation time per sector is 2 hours. The hydraulic design determined the following results: the irrigation area was subdivided into four modules whose surface area is 0.32 Ha; The irrigation network is made up of the pumping system, the main conduit, the lateral port pipes and the irrigation laterals; 118 sprinklers were located at a distance of 10 m between laterals and sprinklers; the characteristics of the required pump is 10 HP, the cost for the implementation of the irrigation system is USD 2960.78. |
