| Riassunto: | Plastic is a material that, despite its great usefulness due to its multiple applications, represents an environmental problem due to its accumulation in the ecosystem. Faced with this situation, substitute materials are developed such as natural polymers of different renewable raw materials, which demand new alternatives for sustainable development, also to replace such conventional polymers to reduce pollution by non-biodegradable waste. This research is focused on obtaining polysaccharide plasticizers from corn (Zea Mays), due to its optimal chemical structure with similar characteristics to synthetic polymers in addition to its easy obtainability and abundance of material. For this purpose, the wet milling method was proposed for the extraction of pure starch, the raw material to be used was also selected starting with 150 ml of distilled water, 48 g of extracted corn starch, 16 ml of Propanetriol, 21 ml of acetic acid which served as plasticizers due to the additional properties they provide at the moment of polysaccharide plastification. |
