Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | This investigation resulted in characterizing the efficiency of the waste water treatment plant of Patoa de Izurieta in the Pujilí Canton for the purpose of designing measures to remediate impact on the environment. This was examined because, in the area around the treatment plant, the waters are discharged without adequate treatment. The plant’s purpose is to improve the quality of life for those inhabitants of the nearby communities and of the Patoa River. In order to accomplish this investigation, several activities were undertaken, including the characterization of waste water entering and leaving the plant, water sampling from the analysis based on regulation NTE INEN 2169:98., by a laboratory accredited by SAE, The what determines efficiency of the units of treatment at the global level was previously determined. Based on the formula, it was possible to determine that the treatment plant does not meet adequate efficiency with a general average of 3%, due to the analyzed parameters exceeding the permissible limits and the treatment units not accomplishing their function of water sanitation. |
