In the analysis of the Tourist System of the canton Latacunga, the following elements were considered: Tourist Market, Tourist Product, Tourist Attractions, Tourist Plant, Infrastructure and Tourism Superstructure. |

Este cantón posee un importante potencial turístico, especialmente para actividades de turismo de naturaleza, cultural, ecoturismo, deportes de aventura, montañismo y otras; gracias a la presencia de recursos naturales y la cultura de la gente. Esta investigación tuvo enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, ya que se utilizaron técnicas de investigación cualitativa como fueron la revisión bibliográfica y la observación de campo; en el enfoque cuantitativo se utilizaron encuestas para determinar la aceptación y valorización de la oferta turística por parte de los visitantes y la demanda de actividades alternativas del cantón Latacunga. En el análisis del Sistema Turístico del cantón Latacunga se consideraron los siguientes elementos: Mercado Turístico, Producto Turístico, atractivos turísticos, Planta Turística, Infraestructura y Superestructura Turística. Luego del análisis del Sistema Turístico del cantón Latacunga, se identificaron los problemas existes con sus necesidades específicas; por lo tanto se realiza una propuesta de programas y proyectos turísticos como propuesta para solucionar los problemas identificados.
