Περίληψη:This work aims to analyze the incidence of dyscalculia in the teaching-learning process in the area of mathematics. It allows the teacher to know more about the subject and, in the same way, reduce and treat dyscalculia through the use of new strategies, achieving the development of skills and abilities in each of the students; also overcome the difficulties they present in the area of mathematics such as tracing, number recognition, size identification, laterality, space, and logical reasoning to improve the academic performance of students. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to provide strategies to overcome the problem of dyscalculia to strengthen the teaching-learning process in second-grade students of the "San José" Educational Unit, Province of Cotopaxi, Canton Latacunga, Guaytacama parish, in the school year 2022 - 2023. Dyscalculia is considered a teaching problem that makes the complete instruction of mathematics knowledge impossible, and it has been evidenced in some students that there is low performance in the subject. However, it implies understanding and working with digits and mathematical instructions. The quantitativequalitative research process was applied since it evidences the reality of the educational context and allows interpreting and analyzing the data collection. The document is aimed at teachers so they know the damage it can cause to a child if it is not treated in time. It will also help teachers with a strengthening guide on the subject.
