De la radio tradicional a la radio on line: estudio de caso mediante las radiodifusoras de la provincia de Cotopaxi

The emergence of new technologies continue to innovate people's daily lives. Therefore, the current era is digital and the world demands a change before the new technologies and the media cannot be left behind. Consequently, this project shows the impact of the web on conventional radio. In addition, the general objective of the research was to know the challenges of traditional radio before Web 2.0 and the emergence of online radio. In addition, the methodology used was a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive design, from a qualitative approach. Well, we investigated reasons, consequences and challenges that traditional radio has gone through to coexist with new inventions (internet). The analysis units were the seven conventional radio stations of Latacunga city. Likewise, we worked with the research technique called "case study" and the research instrument used to access the discourses was the individual interview with their respective questionnaire. The research concludes stating that with the emergence of social networks, the emergence of new generations and the migration of Ecuadorians, most people began to consume open signal. It is there, where the radio began to generate new modes of communication (radio on line), through multimedia content (audio, text, image and video), with the aim of not losing audience and preserving the gift that characterizes the radio, that is, the feedback. Finally, it is hoped that the document serves as a basis, within the media system, to continue carrying out studies that will increase the knowledge of today's society.
