Resumo:The researcher on thís investigation proposed to determrie the influence of the application of two biostimulants in the accumulation of vitamin C and biometric parameters of three species of white grain amaranth. The experimental part was carried out at "CEASA" at the Technical Uriversity of Cotopaxí. The specific objectives of this research were: To evaluate the biometric parameters (height, number of leaves, number and length of inflorescence) of three species of amaranth "Amaranthus spp" with the application of two biostimulants, To detemine the species of amaranth "Amaranthus spp" which has a higher accumu]ation of vitamin C in the foliage before the physio]ogical maturation of the crop, and To determine which species of amaranth "Amarantlius spp" was better adapted to tie new edaphoclimatic conditions. Experimental design of divided plots was carried out, where factor A was considered ri the three varieties of amaranth: A. cruentus ¢rance), A. hybridus, Q4ongolia), A. s / n (Argentina). As factor 8, the biostimulants Alga 600 and Algaenzims with a total of nrie treatments with three repetitions; also, during ffle entire vegetative period, biometi.ic parameters were evaluated every 15 days, obtaining as fmal results: emergence days, stem length, the number of leaves, díameter, and the nmber of inflorescences. Regarding gemination, a total of plants per species was obtained A. cruentus (France) 640 seedlrigs, A. hybridus (Mongolia) 640 seedlrigs, A. s/n (Argentina) 640 seedlings; all of these species completely gemriated on the 5th day after plantíng. Regarding biometi.ic parameters, no significant differences were identified with the application of biostimulants . It was also determined that biostimulamts do not influence on the accumulation of vítainin C; however, the species A. cruentus(France)hadahighercontentofvitamincinitsleaves(133.10mg)concemingthespecies A. hybridus ffom Mongolia (105.49mg) and the Argentinean specíes (94.62mg). The methodology of (Saposhnikov, 1966)
