סיכום:The study developed under the title, reading comprehension in the teaching-learning process in tenth-year students of Basic Education of the First of April Educational Unit, has been raised by the need to solve the problem that seeks to determine if comprehension Reading influences the teaching-learning process of students; For this, it is necessary to develop a methodological strategy to improve reading comprehension in the teaching-learning process; being necessary the systematization of the epistemological foundation that theoretically supports the variables, starting with diagnosing the strengths and weaknesses of the group of students with respect to the indicated topic; to be in a position to design a methodological strategy to improve reading comprehension, which has been subjected to a process of validation and application; With regard to the methodology, the work is based on the mixed paradigm, the assumed modality is that of applied research, among the methods that serve as support in the investigation, for example, the analytical-synthetic and the modeling method, the technical data collection used was the survey. Once the research stages have been concluded and after validating and applying the methodological strategy designed, it is concluded that; For the group of specialists and users, it is an excellent support tool for the improvement of reading comprehension in the teaching-learning process in students of the tenth year.
