| Riassunto: | Child labor is a problem affecting our society, in the province of Cotopaxi is no exception and even more in the Educational Unit "Narciso Cerda Maldonado" where there are high rates of children working, for this reason he took the initiative to conduct this research project and relies on the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, law providing for compulsory basic education without students being exploited in labor so that aims to determine the causes and consequences of child labor and its impact on the academic performance of students in the second year of parallel Basic Education "C", allowing us to determine the incidence of child labor in school performance, to effect a survey was conducted to teachers, parents and students in this process field research and literature was used for this investigation a proposal consisting of a training guide with their respective workshops was developed. The impact was obtained with the implementation of the proposal is to strengthen the skills of training on the subject, raise awareness about the incidence of child labor, where direct beneficiaries are students who have a cognitive development according to their needs without fulfilling activities affecting their academic performance it has been concluded that this social phenomenon of child labor aimed at obtaining income to meet their basic needs of food and clothing and even contribute directly to supplement family income has been detrimental to the education of children of this school because it adversely affects their academic performance. |
