Sammanfattning:This research was carried out in the Province of Cotopaxi, Latacunga Canton, Mulaló Parish, El Rosal neighborhood, and Salatilín, to determine the serum values and associated factors in domestic canines (Canis familiaris). With a sample of 75 dogs, classified into three groups; from 0 to 12 months, from 1 year to 5 years and more than 5 years, began with the socialization of the research aimed at the leaders and residents of the neighborhoods, followed by the collection of blood samples and the lifting of a Clinical record to each of the pets to perform complete blood count and blood chemistry tests, once obtained the results were as follows; Hematocrit 7% high and 20% decreased, Hemoglobin 6% high and 21% decreased, 1% erythrocytosis and 16% erythropenia, VGM 7% high and 9% decreased, HCM 8% high and 9% decreased, CGMH 1% high and 12 % decreased, 1% thrombocytosis and 27% thrombocytopenia, 4% leukocytosis and 5% leukopenia, 7% neutrophilia and 4% neutropenia, 1% lymphocytosis, 4% monocytosis and 16% monocytopenia, 7% eosinophilia and 16% eosinopenia, 4% basophilia , 5% hyperglycemia and 8% hypoglycemia, Urea 11% high and 1% decreased, BUN 10% high and 4% decreased, Creatinine 20% high and 3% decreased, AST 15% high, ALT 15% high, 1% hyperproteinemia and 23% hypoproteinemia. These values, both high and decreased, cause alterations in the canine organism, which can cause serious Pathologies in a short or long time. The results were exposed to the residents of El Rosal neighborhood and Salatilín, belonging to the Mulaló Parish in the Province of Cotopaxi, in order to raise awareness among pet owners about the responsible tenure of them.
