Summary:The current study sought to develop an indicators collaborative system from Environmental Education and eco-efficiency for the CAREN Faculty, Cotopaxi Technical University, through the influence, what exists between eco-efficiency and environmental education in the students from Faculty and educational area. This research has a quantitative and qualitative approach, it was implemented the survey method for the first objective and the PER model method for the second aim. The population sample consisted 339 respondents, who applied a questionnaire to measure the knowledge level about environmental education and it was got, which there is an interest in the environmental issue on the students part, further, there are 18% students, who do not have knowledge about Environmental Education. While, in the eco-efficiency aspect, the basic services consumption within the institution, such as: energy, water, internet, fuel and office supplies, allowed collecting information and measuring the variables, in order to make the corresponding correlations and comparisons in the research. As a result, it was got, what there is no resources excessive consumption, but if energy consumption has been implemented, this can be defined according to the data comparison with previous researchs. Among the main results, it was got, which it can be indicated, that thanks to the made survey, it was got, what students 82% have knowledge about what EA is and know what it is for, even without EA being a subject in the school curricula. To conclude the research, it was got, which the collaborative indicator system development is a tool, that allows improvement in the environmental and educational field from CAREN Faculty, so that to future the institution is recognized as a sustainable institution, and with an environmental approach both in teachers, administrative, operational and students, who make up the educational community.
