Gaia:He strategy constitutes a fundamental activity for any organization in a globalized world tending to exponential changes. In the case of social institutions, actions can also be carried out aimed at improving processes and consequently results. Current research proposes a mixed approach, with a descriptive scope, using primary and secondary sources. The administrative reality of the Diocese of Latacunga has been taken as an object of study, for which a Balanced Scorecard (CMI) has been proposed, as a strategic tool that allows it to be more efficient and effective at the service of the Catholic faithful of the Cotopaxi province. The proposal arises from the diagnosis made to the current administrative conditions of the organization, through the investigation of problems considered by the Governmental Council of assets, finding shortcomings in financial management, processes, technology and human talent, which has led to no quality services can be given to the faithful who come to the different parishes; Therefore, the proposed strategic model used is a CMI for the Diocese of Latacunga that prioritizes user satisfaction, within a framework of 4 perspectives and that requires permanent monitoring in order to obtain transcendent results. The proposal was validated by three experts in the use of strategic tools and also validated by the user who is the person who will be in charge of the application of the proposal, that is, the Bishop of Latacunga. The evaluation has been positive by all, agreeing on the value it contributes for a sustained improvement over time, provided that its use is responsible and committed, involving all who are part of the institution. The conclusions and recommendations of the work carried out, emphasizing the importance of strategy not only as a function of for-profit companies, but as a mechanism that allows leading an organization of any type, along a path of organization and control . As for the Diocese of Latacunga, it is expected that, in the future, the concepts present here, as well as the proposed model, will be of the greatest possible benefit
