Taking into account that chard is sowed during the whole year due to this is short cycle farming, through the researchwork it was determined that the fungus with the greatest impact on the chard cultivation is the (Cercospora beticola) because in the Cotopaxi Province there are 35 planted hectares with the 85% of production which are affected by the fungus at a rate of 40%.
