Резюме:This researching project looks for a solution for the optimization of current electricity generation with the actual conditions in the highest central hydroelectric located in Los Llanganates National park at Salcedo Canton. It has proposed to perform the analysis of the motor system by means of the velocities at the exit of the injector, to obtain the performance curves of the Pelton turbine and to identify the possibility to increase the energy. For the development of this investigation, measurements were made of flow rate at each injector input, it was verified in the number of revolutions of the turbine and the generator, the diameter of the jet was measured at the exit of the injector. Finally we compared the field tests at different flow rate with the design conditions, with this comparison we determined that the diameter of the jet to the impact with the blades of the turbine was not the correct, one was elaborated a proposal to improve this limiting and to increase the capacity of generation. Delivering 76% Pelton turbine performance with a flow rate of 23.64 lts / sec and an average generation capacity of 2.9 kW.
