Zusammenfassung:This research was carried out with 75 dogs in El Progreso neighborhood, San Juan de Pastocalle Parish, Latacunga canton, Cotopaxi province. Its purpose was the determination of serum values and associated factors in domestic canines (canis familiaris) to establish alterations in the parasitic organism through taking blood samples to the canines and data collection through the clinical record to the owners to later perform hematological examinations and blood chemistry in the laboratory. The determination of the associated factors about the survey allowed to establish that 87% of canines have a large space, 80% feed on leftovers, 54.67% leave the house four times a week, 68% do not live with other species, 45% drink water from irrigation or drought, 96% are not vaccinated. The determination of serum values in domestic canines allowed the clinic validation of the whole immersed population, establishing that 30.66% have a high level of erythrocytes and 5.33% decreased, 8% have a high level of leukocytes and 5.33% decreased, 1.33% have high levels of glucose and 13.33% decreased, 14.66% have high levels of urea, 9% have high BUN and 6.66% decreased, 26.66% have high levels of creatinine and 2.26% decreased, 6.66% have high AST, 14.66% have high ALT. The relevant illnesses were polydipsia, regenerative and non-regenerative anemia, allergies, parasitism, viral infections, infectious diseases, polyuria syndrome, it refers to the developed surveys, in relation to the questions according to nutrition, habitat and veterinary control, and they mark a higher percentage. Thus, this survey is an important tool to determine the health conditions jointly with the laboratory analysis. The complete results obtained were socialized in El Progreso neighborhood about values got in the research and the possible illnesses that affect to the canines, which allowed to provide some recommendations on the care and welfare that the canine must have within each home that inhabits and thus to reduce the diseases that affect the mentioned sector, in order to improve the quality of animal life.
