Efectos de la defofestación sobre la entomofauna de la familia Formicidae, en la microcuenca del Rio Yungañán (Formación vegetal pasto) en La Maná. Cotopaxi. 2021

The present investigation was carried out in the Moraspungo sector, located in La Maná Canton, Cotopaxi province, the “Effects of deforestation on the Entomofauna of the Formicidae family in the Yungañán River micro-basin, considering the grass plant formation, the Traps used in the research were preferably tuna baits, sampling units were used in 3 transects, which were initially located using GPS points and digitally identified, the sampling of traps was placed every 10 meters away, taking a An important species for the evaluation of this section, these recognized species are located in the pasture of transect 5 where 14 samples of the 20 sampling units were collected, which are made up of 7 genera and an abundance of 174 individuals, in turn in the transect 3 11 samples were collected from 20 sampling units which are made up of 4 genera and an abundance of d e 58 individuals, finally in transect 1 9 samples were collected from 20 sampling units which are made up of 4 genera and an abundance of 70 individuals, the predominance of some genera indicates that a significant range of species can be established in the sector that intervene in the ecology of the sector, likewise the scarcity of ants represents the alterations that have occurred due to agricultural work, as well as the construction of houses, livestock and other activities carried out by man that intervene in deforestation.
