الملخص:The present research work is to determine the threats in water recharge areas in the basins of the rivers Calópe and San Pablo, for which a methodological model was applied to determine threats based on variables: slope, precipitation, plant cover and land use. Each of these variables was analyzed with the purpose of describing the degree of threat that they have over water recharge areas. The methodological model understands a qualitative estimation of the degree of threat of each one of the variables, it was applied through the ArcGIS software. 10.1, the same that allowed the two-factor approach. The first raises the loss of plant cover as the most relevant threat and the second raises mass movements which also have a high importance as factors of natural hazards in the study areas. As a result, "Natural and Anthropic Threats" maps were generated in the Calópe and San Pablo river basins, which classify the study area into three categories, which are High, Medium and Low Threat. According to the threats identified, it was possible to generate a proposal for protection and conservation measures, which will help to preserve these natural resources. These areas should be considered as priority areas in watershed management plans under natural resource conservation projects for the protection of ecosystem services.
