It is important for proper crop management, so that it allows preventing this disease has a significant effect on performance. The objective of this research was been to morphologically characterize the fungus that causes the greatest impact on crop production carrot (Daucus carota L.), that it was affected to this disease. It was carried out the isolation of the diseased plant tissue in petri boxes that they were contained the medium crop Potato - Dextrosa - Agar (PDA) and it was proceeded to incubate to 23º C, to observe the development of fungus mycelium fungal that it was carried out four days, then it was proceeded to perform the purification using the crop technique of hypha tip. It was sowed again in petri boxes with PDA + 2% of citric acid, and incubated at 23 ° C for 10 days. The crops obtained were compared with the information available in the database, using bibliography and photos. |

Durante el ciclo del cultivo, la incidencia de enfermedades provocadas por hongos principalmente la quemadura o tizón de la hoja ha ido en aumento razón por la cual hace necesario la “CARACTERIZACIÓN MORFOLÓGICA DEL HONGO FITOPATÓGENO EN EL CULTIVO DE ZANAHORIA (Daucus carota L.), SECTOR SAN BUENVANTURA – COTOPAXI. 2014”, Esto es trascendente para un adecuado manejo del cultivo de manera que nos permita evitar que esta enfermedad tenga un efecto significativo en el rendimiento. El objetivo de esta investigación fue caracterizar morfológicamente el hongo que causa mayor impacto en la producción del cultivo de zanahoria (Daucus carota L.), que afecta en la localidad de San Buenaventura. Se colectaron foliolos que presentaban síntomas de la enfermedad.
