Crynodeb:This research was carried out with students from the first to the ninth cycle of the Veterinary Medicine Career to know the knowledge they have about pet ownership by completing A 30- questions questionnaire, which the researcher uploaded to Google form. The results were the following: 73% of students know about the usefulness of having pets in human beings. Then, 63% of students have an idea about the penal code that people have when they kill an animal. Next, 77% of them would apply Bioethics in veterinary clinics during their daily lives. So, 54% of the surveyed students state that they took Bioethics and Legislation during their academic training. 50% of students know about Bioethics regulations. 75% of them claim that Booethics subject teaches moral and ethical principles. 54% of students know the duties and obligations of having pets. 28% of students state that shelters face the problem with stray dogs while the Municipality faces 50%. Sterilization is the best option to reduce canine overpopulation mention 77% of students and 70% demonstrate an interest in animals. 56% of students learn about food for dogs. 64% are aware of the word “Animal Welfare.
