Riassunto:The proposed research had the objective of evaluating the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the efficiency of administrative processes that can be used in the Cantonal Regulation Directorate of the Municipal GAD of the Latacunga Canton. To this end, artificial intelligence and its application in the public sector were described from various perspectives and approaches. Also, it was analyzed how artificial intelligence is currently applied in its departments. The investigation included 85 public servants belonging to the departments: administrative, financial, human talent, and user service. Descriptive results based on a quantitative approach were used to process the evaluated factors: system capacity, user behavior, training and development scope, availability of experts, intelligence in administrative management, usability, knowledge, vision, and ethical administration. The results showed that the servers are familiar with the use of virtual assistants, Chatbots, BigData, and ChatGpt. In addition, a high level of disagreement has been identified in the technological system of the GAD of Latacunga and its capacity to develop technology and software to support Artificial Intelligence (53% disagreement). Similarly, 66% of servers have expressed disagreement in the institution's ability to manage intelligent electronic services for the needs of users. Therefore, it is concluded that there is no presence of a specific Artificial Intelligence infrastructure for the integration of administrative management operations in the institution.
