| Sumari: | This research started from the methodological strategies for numerical reasoning as a problem that occurs in the classroom and has caused multiple inconveniences in education, therefore, many of the teachers are unaware of appropriate methods to develop this theme, that affects the students academic performance, which is why understanding is required to support and guide learning. This research objective is to formulate methodological strategies for the numerical reasoning improvement at seventh year students from "Belisario Quevedo" Elementary School. For this, a mixed approach was applied, likewise, methods such as bibliographic and descriptive were used, which allowed analyzing the real data that contributed to the phenomenon explanation under study at the events scene. The techniques applied were the interview, through a guide of questions addressed to the teacher, as well as the survey, through the questionnaire, which focused on the students. As a result, it was obtained that the students show deficiencies in the subjects contents understandingt, since feel unmotivated and disinterested, which can be related to the lack of methodological strategies use for the numerical reasoning development by teachers. For this reason, a guide to exercises and problems was designed that can be applied in the teaching mathematics process, which will generate favorable results in the students numerical thinking development. |
