| Streszczenie: | Agricultural production systems are based on the use of conventional technologies, currently there is a high price for these products, which makes them difficult to access for small and medium-sized agricultural producers. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the agronomic behavior and profitability of progenies of maize varieties in the Ventanas canton, Los Ríos province, Ecuador. An experiment was established in the "Jurado" farm located in the San Ramon compound, Puerto Pechiche parish, Ventanas canton, Los Ríos province. The treatments that were were three corn hybrids.; emblem 777, adavanta 9313 and emblem 777 x advanta 9313. The design used was in randomized blocks, three treatments with seven repetitions. The variables evaluated were: plant height, stem diameter, cob length, percentage of pest incidence, weight of 100 grains, yield per hectare and an economic analysis was quantified. The results reflected advanta 9313, the hybrid that obtained the highest average plant height with 235.50 cm, stem diameter (2.20 cm), ear diameter (4.70), yield (7.24 t/ha) in advanta 9313 x emblem 777 reflected the lowest average incidence of pests, respectively values of 30.30%. The best B/C ratio was obtained on the progeny of the cultivar advanta x emblem with 2.49. Regarding the morphometric behavior, it was evidenced that the advanta hybrid obtained the best plant height (235.50 cm) and stem diameter (2.20 cm). Based on production, the largest ear diameter (4.70 cm), weight of 100 seeds (44.50 g) and best yield (7.23 t/ha) were detected on the advanta hybrid. The lowest incidence of pests (30.30%) was quantified in the progeny advanta x emblem, this was due to the fact that less pesticide was used and better net benefits were achieved ($1,285.60) with a C/B of 2,49. |
