Zusammenfassung:The present investigation began with the realization of a situational diagnostic in the axes; environmental, socio-cultural, socio-economic and touristic activities of the Zumbahua parish in order to know the current state in which it is located, 98.8% of the population of Zumbahua are indigenous and are engaged in field activities such as agriculture, forestry, livestock and fishing. It was carried out with the collection of primary and secondary information that contributed to the diagnosis of the social context of the sector, it is important to mention that the main economic source of the parish is through agriculture and tourism, thus the cultural richness was also evidenced, which is related to their customs and traditions. In the second objective, the inventory of the Intangible Cultural Heritage area of knowledge and uses related to nature that is linked to birds was carried out, applying the ethnographic methodology that allowed interaction with the inhabitants of the parish to know the role that birds play. Furthermore, the methodology used is based on the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, for which techniques such as the INPC files of area four were applied, and the interview with the inhabitants already selected through a mapping of actors, which requested the necessary information, which allowed to know in depth the benefits that birds provide in the lives of human beings and what ancestral knowledge they have within their cultural understanding, as a result ten species of birds were obtained, such as: the monterejo, Andean condor, turtledove , partridge, curiquingue, pigeon, hummingbird, blackbird, swallows and owl that are linked to the Andean worldview, in function of this, the descriptive guide was developed and the information obtained in the inventory was systematized, in order to contribute to the strengthening of ancestral knowledge, practices and knowledge, it has the purpose of relating the cultural with nature to make known the importance that birds have in people's imaginary as part of their cultural identity, for this reason it is necessary to disseminate information through the guide, which is a learning tool to expand knowledge.
