| Riassunto: | In the Sacha Wiwa Experimental Center, located in the Guasaganda parish, La Maná Canton, Cotopaxi province, the production of Flemingia (Flemingia macrophylla) seeds was evaluated at different cutting ages. The established cultivation of Flemingia is a continuation of the work carried out by Guzman and Paztuña (2022), in which they assessed the agronomic, chemical and microbiological behavior of Flemingia (established in April 2021). To give continuity to the project, four treatments and five repetitions were established, with a total of 120 experimental units evaluated (6 plants per repetition), at different cutting ages at 30, 45, 60 and 75 days. The variables evaluated were: seed production (g), number of leaves, leaf weight (g), leaf index, leaf and seed chemical composition, and bromatological composition of seeds. The highest production of classified seeds occurred at 75 days with an average of 32.84 g, the highest number of branches was obtained at the highest number of leaves was at 30 days with 1593.80 leaves, the highest weight of leaves was recorded at 804.57 g at 30 days, the highest leaf index occurred at 60 days. In the chemical composition of Flemingia leaves, the highest nitrogen value was reported at 60 days 4.51%, while phosphorus was recorded at 45 days 0.24% and for potassium at 60 days 0.92%. The chemical composition of the Flemingia seeds gave as a result for nitrogen at 60 days 5.03%, for phosphorus the highest value was at 45 days 0.51% and for potassium at 60 days with 1.17%. In the bromatological analysis of Flemingia seeds, the highest protein percentage was reported at 60 days, 31.44%, and for fiber at 75 days, 11.20%. The soil, chemical and bromatological analyzes were carried out by the Agricultural Chemical. Analysis Laboratory (AGROLAB). The leaf index was carried out in the Laboratory of the Livestock, Pasture and Forage Area of the National Institute of Agricultural Research Pichilingue Experimental Station (INIAP). |
