The diagnosis of the problem, as well as the design and application of strategies, was done together with the 36 students of the 2nd Parallel Grade “B” of General Basic Education of the September 19 Educational Unit of the Salcedo Canton. The methodology used is quantitative, typical of the positivist paradigm, its design was pre-experimental since a pre-test and a post-test were applied, both instruments contemplated five activities in which sequences of images were shown to the children with the purpose of obtain information about your linguistic and semantic skills. The results showed great findings as rapid progress was evident in the students' achievement of semantic skills. |

The results showed great findings as rapid progress was evident in the students' achievement of semantic skills.A través de esta investigación podrá evidenciarse la efectividad de las estrategias basadas en los campos semánticos para la adquisición de competencias lingüísticas, específicamente a nivel de la conciencia semántica. El diagnóstico del problema, así como el diseño y aplicación de estrategias se hizo junto a los 36 estudiantes del 2° Grado Paralelo “B” de Educación Básica General de la Unidad Educativa 19 de septiembre del Cantón Salcedo. La metodología utilizada es cuantitativa propia del paradigma positivista, su diseño fue de tipo pre experimental ya que se aplicó un pre test y un post test, ambos instrumentos contemplaron cinco actividades en la que se le mostraron a los niños secuencias de imágenes con el propósito de obtener información acerca de sus habilidades lingüísticas y semánticas.
