Evaluación de la correlación de los niveles de leptina y betahidroxibutirato en alpacas huacayas con la condición corporal en la unocanc” (unión de organizaciones campesinas de Cotopaxi)

The research was realized in the Toacaso Parish, Cotopilaló Community in the Union of Peasant Organizations of Cotopaxi ( UNACANC ) . With the theme evaluation of the correlation of leptin levels and beta-hydroxybutyrate in alpacas Huacayas with body condition where it is observed that there is no statistical significance for the variable levels of leptin, presenting a coefficient of variation of 10.16% and an average 0.55 ng / ml , which determines only the mathematical difference between treatments. The treatment 9 has a value of 0.65 ng / ml leptin , same corresponding to group 3 ; . occupying the first place while t5 presented a value of 0.63 ng / ml , ranking second belonging to group 2 ; with respect to t1 , t2 and t3 which yielded similar data 0.50 ng / ml . , it is concluded that serum leptin levels alpacas obtained in the present study shows that is directly related to body condition and that there is a close relationship between the concentration of leptin in blood and body condition group 3 and 4 having more muscle on the back with fat accumulation that allows for a parameter of nutritional status. According to studies conducted by Rodriguez et at, (2011 ) it tells us that levels of beta - hydroxybutyrate (BHB ) are rarely determined, in the country there aren`t exixt laboratories that is the reason that can`t determine the measurement of this hormone (betahydroxybutyrate).
