Description
Summary:This research was conducted in the Entomology Laboratory at the Technical University of Cotopaxi, where the behavior and habits of the serpentine leaf miner (Liriomyza huidobrensis) in the cultivation of Haba (Vicia faba) under the laboratory conditions was determined. It considers that the samples have all the visible states or the conditions. The sample must correspond to the actual site of the condition on the ground as some symptoms in the foliage may be due to other changes. Samples were collected when plants were without rain or dew moisture to prevent bacterial and fungal growth thereon. The samples show symptoms of serpentine which are characteristics of the attack of Liriomyza huidobrensis spiral shaped in the leaves.
