Özet: | This research was done about the etological description of the younger screw-worm in chocho stalk (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet) at Cotopaxi Technical University laboratory (Latitude: 00 º 59” 47, 68” S, Longitude: 78º 37”19, 16” E.). The study begins with the collection of species described in this research, for this reason, plants were identified with typical symptoms due to attack of younger screw-worm stalk as the perforations were done to stalks, the plants don´t grow, it changes to yellow color, the stalks have brown and violet colors intensively. Consequently, the biological cycle of younger screw-worm stalk is 54 days to 18º C temperature and a relative humidity of 24% using as host plants and seeds of chocho. According researches, the larva has caused more damage to the plant, it feeds inside the stem formed gallery “mines” and weakening the plant structure. For this research all stages of the insect were developed in a living plant. After that, one plant per pot was put in a fish tank with 10 units in study and it visualized all stages for achieving the conclusions in the laboratory and it was established the taxonomic description of the pest in study: Order: Díptera, Family: Agromyzidae, Subfamily: Agromyzinae, Gender: Melanagramyza sp. |
