| الملخص: | This research was performed in the parish of El Corazón, Pangua canton, in the San Nicolas sector, between 1700 and 1800 meters above sea level. The objectives were: Identify the species of stingless bees of the Meliponini tribe present in the San Nicolas sector and determine the number of stingless bees by species in the sector; four types of trapping were carried out: Harris, Platos, Malaise, Entomological Net. Besides, dichotomous keys from the National Institute of Biodiversity (INABIO) were used to recognize the species. We obtained two stingless bees belonging to Plebeia sp, with a number of 28 individuals, and Parapartamona Vittegera with 35 individuals. As a result, three stingless bee nests belonging to the two identified species were also found at three different heights in the San Nicolas sector. The scarcity is due to meteorological phenomena such as increased precipitation from November (55.3 mm), December (213.3 mm), and January (470.7 mm). Therefore, this condition prevents the presence of the species in the sector. |
