| Streszczenie: | The present research was carried out with the aim of studying the ethnological ornithology of the Vultur gryphus (Andean Condor) in El Morro, Pansache and Unacallo sectors, in Alaquez parish, Latacunga canton, Cotopaxi province, where the researching will be of a qualitative type applying the ethnographic method. In this way, in order to obtain a characterization of the frequent activities of the owners, the reference chain or snowball was used to identify an initial actor and gradually these were derived to other possible actors (four lines of succession were covered), the same ones that were part of the unstructured interview that was recorded and the important data registered in the field notebook, the last interviewed for researching purposes has been called "hunter". Within the characterization of the frequent activities, one can be distinguished by dressing to protect oneself from the cold, the previous planning of activities, the organization of the rodeo participating in ¨Shuyo ¨ as a starting point, the cattle board, the enclosure of the cattle in a corral where they carry out counting, vaccination and marking of livestock, the search for livestock in case of loss or death, the care of the cattle, their songs, liquor drinks, dances, food, the adaptation of infrastructure areas and as annexed activities, they are not practiced by the members but by other visitors, hunting of wild species. Field trips were made to the sectors where the investigation was conducted and in particular, participation in one of the rodeos, as this was one of the main activities developed by the group of identified stakeholders; the relationship between the following aspects was determined: gathering of livestock, search for livestock in case of loss or death, and care of the cattle, given that Vultur gryphus (Andean Condor) feeds on carrion and occasionally kills calves, old cattle, or injured ones, forcing the adoption of protection and mitigation measures that threaten its existence. For the owners of the sectors self-identified as "Chagras", the presence of Vultur gryphus (Andean Condor) does not represent a source of cultural manifestation, on the contrary, it represents a threat to the activity of cattle raising but it has unintentionally generated a survival nexus of an intangible heritage " El Chagra" and a natural heritage "el Condor"; after the systematization of the information an academic article was elaborated. It can be concluded that the so-called Chagras have a negative perception of the Andean Condor towards the presence of the Condor; however, it is a relationship that must be studied in greater depth and time to obtain conclusive data on the activities analyzed. |
