Sumario:This research project began in the La Maná canton, and its duration was 90 days. Proposing as objectives: Identify the effects of the doses applied per treatment and analyze the effects of the application for the vegetative development of the crop. For this, a randomized complete block design with 6 treatments was used: T0 absolute control, T1; Silicon 30 ml + Edaphic Method, T2; Silicon 60 ml + Edaphic Method, T3: Silicon 30 ml + Foliar Method, T4 Silicon 60 ml + Foliar Method, T5 Silicon 90 ml + Edaphic and Foliar Method. The results of the evaluated variables: Plant height (cm), Stem diameter (mm), Number of leaves, number of harvested fruits and yield, showed that this element did not influence the vegetative growth of the plants or their production, as it did not There are statistically significant differences between their treatments. This is corroborated with the performance, where the best treatment was the one with the highest dose with a weight of 5444 grams, which, compared to the control, 3945 grams; shows that the difference between these could not be related to the application of silicon and, therefore, as several authors mention, this element is effective as a promoter of resistance against biotic and abiotic factors.
