| Summary: | The present investigation is carried out in the parish of Calderón and is created under the need to evaluate the degree of animal well-being based on compliance with the five freedoms in domestic dogs (Canis Lupus Familiaris) in said parish, because it is ignored or ignored. unknown about these freedoms of the canine that drastically influence the habits of pets and their owners, in this way a quantitative and qualitative approach methodology has been developed with the use of surveys that serve as assessment sheets towards canines in order to To qualify the degree of well-being of the dogs of the Calderón parish in addition to determining said degree of well-being based on the 5 freedoms, as well as identifying the main indicators that govern the well-being of the pets, the study was of a non-experimental nature, of exploratory and descriptive nature, and a finite population formula was applied to determine the number of owners to be interviewed, yielding the following results: 195 owners who own canines. The results denote a serious lack of knowledge of the rules and freedoms that they have to grant to their pets, due to ignorance of the concept of animal welfare. Therefore, the physical and psychological state of pets does not meet 70% of these indicators, failing to comply with the 5 freedoms of animal welfare. |
